Manx hockey player Sienna Dunn will captain the England team for the summer test series against Belgium in Edegem.
The squad is set to embark on a ten day tour from August 11, where the English team will compete in five matches.
As Sienna prepares for this opportunity, the pressure is on to make a strong impression with upcoming competitions on the horizon, including the U21 World Cup in Chile this December and the 2026 Euros not far behind.
England Captain
The last couple of months have been particularly hectic for Dunn, as she balances rigorous training with both the U21 squad and the GB Elite Development Programme alongside her university studies.
Having started her journey with the England squad at the age of 16, Sienna has consistently demonstrated her commitment to advancing her sport.
She captained the U18 team in her final year within that age group, subsequently representing England in a World Cup and earning a Bronze medal at the 2024 Euros held in Spain.
World Class Hockey
Currently, Sienna plays in the Women’s Premier League for Nottingham University, and following the matches in Belgium, she will return to pre-season training with her club in preparation for the season opener.
Dunn expressed her gratitude to everyone who has supported her throughout her journey, specifically thanking Paul Jones and the staff at Sports Aid for their invaluable assistance.
